The Nazis have captured Roberto and taken him far away from his home in Venice, Italy. And it seems to him that every time he makes a friend, soemthing horrible goes wrong and the friend dies. It seems that wherever death goes, Roberto is somehow there. We follow him on a touching journey, where along the way his friends do give up their lives for the sake of others. He wants nothing to do with the war and yet he always finds himself in the middle of the battle. With thrills around every corner and a touching and inspiring story, this book is one you must read.
